Thanks again for the offer, you seem really reasonable with this project of yours but that's not the way I professionally work, (a profit pool isn't a guarantee, I've been there before). Even so I hope you understand my position and I wish you best of luck.
But please note that an income would be guaranteed in the contract, and that the annual income is for sure as the game will turn commercial. And it is written.
I'll see a very expert lawyer next days to be sure to have a perfect contract to grant you everything clear and easy.
Also, if you would like to have new works for this offer, you're very welcome.
But, fo course, I understand you choice to don't trust easily; although believe me, I'm not a tricker and not a bad intentioned person; also because if I would have been dishonest I surely would not have been so clear since the start.
Just because I cant afford paying all the artists before, please don't think I'm not honest.
Paying all the artists before would mean: 250,000$ (500€ x 500 images), and not having the game done. That would be very risky...
But, if I tell you that I'm binding legally myself to pay you, granting you credits and website link, also if the games crushes on itself, you have had your image on it for nothing payed. and all your rights granted. And, also if the game goes bad, this doesn't affect the beuaty of your image. I mean, yeah, people could say "og this game sucks!" but your image will be surely still appreciated, because is not a stain on it. So, you have to earn anyway, also in the worst cases, that for mean means anyway to have lost money, time, and energy.
So believe me, I don't involve myself in such a risky project, without having done all the computations before. Also because this is my work and study field.
If you ever reconsider your offer, and would like to bring your value and talent in it, my doors is always open.
The contract will be available as my lawyer has it done. But still, I'm not the government giving a public concourse, and it will be visible to candidate artists who will receive it. If this does seem strange to you, have you ever seen a public contract, from an enterprise or private, to be public shown? People pay for this, and also for many other things, in developing a project there are always many expenses. And believe me, it would be very harder to develop it differently. Anyway, I, and not only me, are sure that the final result will be very great.
And you artists, are a very big part of it, and are very appreciated. That's why in my heart and in my mind, I could never do harm to any of you, and not trick of you because is not in my nature. But I don't want to be lay and risk the success of my project to fall.
If you, now or in the future, would join the Artists of this project, you'll be very appreciated, as all the other artists who won't regret to have put their trust in this project. Also because believe me, trick people is not only bad, it's stupid; because harm other people, in any way, is always a karmic debt. And I hope that what I'm doing is good enough, to receive som goodness back. And I'm glad to see that many artists are trusting me. And you can't imagine how much I'm proud of them, and how much I would like to pay them, to encourage them to keep living their art, and keep bringing life to the game updates and future developments.
As I have in mind the next years and development of the project, and I hope many, many people could enjoy it. And that many artists could get a significant income from this project.
That I hope, if things go good, you will consider to be enough for you too.

Lilyas has dedicated herself to making our community a brighter place with her vibrant artwork and infectious enthusiasm for interacting with others in our community. It has certainly paid off, as many deviants flock to her page on a daily basis to let her know how much of an inspiration she is. We absolutely agree, and couldn't let all that hard work go without recognition, so it's with great pride that we bestow the Deviousness Award for March 2014, to ... Read More
